Dr. Neale Fong is a doctor, Australian rules football administrator, Churches of Christ chaplain and former public servant and amateur football player in Perth, Western Australia. ==Career== Dr. Fong has over 30 years experience in medical and health care delivery and leadership roles. Dr. Fong was the chief executive officer for five years of WA’s largest private hospital, the Subiaco St John of God Geelong Hospital, when he was recruited by the State Government in 2004 to implement reform in WA’s public health system. He became the executive chairman of the Health Reform and Implementation Taskforce, which wss charged with implementing the recommendations of the Reid Report. He was Project head to Health Workforce Australia in developing Australia’s first Health Leadership Framework which was launched in July 2013. He also has current consulting engagements with NT Health and various other health-related companies. Dr Fong recently was Managing Director of Peel Health Campus and director of the Curtin Health Innovation Research Institute. In 2010 he consulted to Curtin University in the project to establish WA’s third medical school. He was also appointed Director of the Curtin Health Innovation Research Institute and Professor in Healthcare Leadership. He is current President of the WA Branch of the Australasian College of Health Services Management and was made an Honorary Fellow in 2011 in recognition of his outstanding leadership in health. He is also currently Member of the Ministerial Council for Suicide Prevention (2013 - present), Chairman of Rhonda Wyllie Foundation (2012 - present), and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (2013 - present). Dr. Fong – who graduated from the University of Western Australia's Graduate School of Management with an MBA in 1996 – has degrees in Medicine and Surgery, and a Masters qualification in Theology. He is President of the WA Branch and Director of the National Branch of the Australasian College of Health Services Management and was made an Honorary Fellow in 2011 in recognition of his leadership in health. He was Finalist in 2010 Western Australian Citizen of the Year Award (Community Service).
